The Mirador project of STAR (1st prize in competition in 2009) and O’Mighty Green (satyr about the misuse of green in architecture) will be exhibited at Bureau Europa in Maastricht, the Netherlands from June 8th until August 5th as a selection of the New Dutch Generation of architects.

The exhibition Les Ardoines – Territoire Émergent du Grand Paris (Ardoines –EmergingTerritory of the Greater Paris) shows the history of, and the challenges presented by, this changingterritory ofGrand Paris and presents the results of the two competitions for the Northern and Southern parts of theArdoines Territory: the ZAC Gare Vity and the ZAC Gare Ardoines. The STAR project won the ZAC Gare Ardoines competition, winning against SEURA architectes urbanistes and Reichen et Robert & Associés, both fromParis. Floris Alkemade and Beatriz Ramo are the directors of this project.

The Mirador project of STAR (1st prize in competition in 2009) will be exhibited at the Korea Institute for Youth Facility and Environment in Seoul, from 22 until 28 November 2012 as a selection of prominent Spanish Architecture. The exhibition shows 50 projects from different countries. The curators of the Spanish selection are María José Marcos and Gonzalo Herrero Delicado.

Last May STAR was selected to participate in the International Architecture Festival Eme 3 in Barcelona. Eme 3 is a market for avant-garde architecture founded in 1999 by the cultural association ADN. The sixth edition of this festival took place in Barcelona from June 30 to July 3.

On November 5, the Chamber of Architects in Alicante opened the exhibition "Concurso a dos fases del Mirador del Palmeral en Elche". Beatriz Ramo opened the exhibition at 20:00 with a lecture on the project. Last July, STAR won first prize in the Open International Competition for the Mirador del Palmeral (Palm Grove’s viewpoint) in Elche, Spain. The exhibition was open to the public until November 30.

The exhibition will be open from June 5-23 in Cáceres and from June 23 to July 15 in Badajoz in Spain.

An exhibition of the results of Europan 9 was held in Gallery 3 at the Nai-Netherlands Architecture Institute, from March, 7 until May 25, 2008. STAR won second prize for the Amsterdam site with the Big B project. The panels and the model of STAR's proposal were displayed in the exhibition.

RAS, the gallery and bookshop of ACTAR in Barcelona, presented the book "Super Holland Design" and exhibited a selection of its content. STAR was a finalist in the International Open Competition for the Masterplan of Vatnsmýri area in Reykjavík (Iceland). The entries were exhibited in the Reykjavik Art Museum. 136 teams took part in the first phase of the competition. STAR was one of the 16 teams selected by the jury to develop its proposal for the second phase.

Austria’s Federal Chancellor Wolfgang Schüssel opened ‘The Image of Europe’ exhibition at the Heldenplatz in Vienna on Monday, 8 May 2006. Austria held the presidency of the European Union for the first semester of 2006.
